The Devil's Violinist is a biography drama about a famous violinist and composer Niccolo Paganini. The movie was directed and written by Bernard Rose and stars David Garrett, Jared Harris and Joely Richardson. The story is set in the year 1830 while Niccolo Paganini is at the peak of his career and critically acclaimed throughout the whole of Europe. His name alone is tied to plenty of affairs and scandals which is exactly what his manager Urbani is cultivating. The only place which Niccolo Paganini hasn't yet conquered is London. English impresario John Watson and his mistress risk all they own in order to lure Paganini to London for his British debut. Urbani manages to bring Niccolo to London although against his will. The premiere goes better than expected and fans throng the hotel causing chaos. Musician and his manager run away to Watson's home where Paganini falls in love with the host's daughter Charlotte. This displeases Urbani, who fears he will lose the influence on his protege and he begins to craft a plan. The Devil's Violinist is an amazing movie, the actors perform very well and the sets look stunning bringing the era of the 19th century to life. If you have ever wondered about the life of one of the greatest violinists of all times, then this movie is a definite must see.
