The Encounter: Paradise Lost is the brain child of writer Sean Paul Murphy and director Bobby Smyth. The plot of this movie revolves around 6 persons: man and wife, who had lost their son, drug dealer and the cop, who is chasing him, drug dealers wife and his henchman. They are trapped in a mansion on the beach, where we get to meet the husband and wife at first. They had lost their son seven years before this even in a tsunami in Thailand. Their relationship is going downhill fast and they have their minds set to get divorced as soon as they get home. Then we get to meet both drug dealer, who is running from justice, and a cop who is chasing after him. In the mix are also thrown drug dealers wife and his henchman. At one point, as drug dealer and his man are holding the rest of the people captive, Jesus appears in the garden, in front of the window. For the most part of the movie, it is dealing with personal issues and Jesus, proving that he is who he says he is and answering their questions in order to make them believe in him and his will. According to various critics, the movie is very educational in the field of religion and Christianity, but in the comparison with the previous part not as good as the first one was.
