The story used for movie The Factory is a detective roman. Like in many other crime stories there is the detective. He has a pretty fractured family because of his commitment to the job. When honest man describes that it goes like this : “He has no life other than his job”. We see people like that like different and not in good way. The truth is that world needs more devoted people. In this movie main character role detective Mike is given to John Cusack. Cusack is great actor with over seventy titles under his belt. Detective Mike has an obsession and that is to catch serial killer who is operating on streets of Buffalo. Driven with unhealthy obsession Mike has methods that are not the most suitable for a detective. That is going to become different ball game when he finds out that his daughter is missing. At that moment Mike is not after the killer as a detective but as a father. He is not restricted by procedures and by the law. Cusack did a great job. Here comes part of the movie that is not so good like the first half. In second part of “The Factory” should be amazing twist that any thriller has. Audience generally didn’t find this twist thrilling. Some say it is pointless, and the other say that it was obvious 15 minutes before it happened. They had general feeling like they watched two different films.
