The Fifth State is a movie which follows the beginnings of WikiLeaks. Julian Assange and his colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg team up to create a platform which allows the whistle blowers to anonymously leak covert data and reveal government secrets and corporate crimes. Soon enough they gain massive popularity and they reveal plenty of news, more than all of the world media organizations combined. The duo discovers a biggest trove of confidential intelligence documents in the US history which makes them battle each other while pondering upon the costs of keeping secrets and the cost of exposing them. The movie is biased, and portrays Assange in a way which makes him look like a lunatic. The ending of the movie could have been much better as it portrays Assange in a very negative light. Some might even call this movie propaganda against whistle blowers, but the movie shouldn't be taken seriously. Most of the people of today know who Assange is, and this movie shouldn't influence them. The acting is believable and the script is pretty good up till the end. If you want to watch a movie without the need to pay close attention or you just want to relax, then The Fifth Estate will be pretty good for you.
