As the story begins, we get to meet Sergeant First Class William James, who is played by Jeremy Renner. He is a bomb disarming expert who is sent to Iraq. He teams up with two other soldiers, Sanborn and Eldridge, who are yet to see how he does hos job. During the first disarming of a full trunk of bombs in a stolen vehicle, his team members freak out as they see him take all of his security equipment off of him and doing what he does the best totally unprotected. They get into lots of conflicts until William learns how to play everything like a team. Together, they manage to disarm lots of bombs and prevent lots of attacks until one day, when he gets his hands on a fully chained and locked guy, all covered in time ticking bombs, ready to blow up in couple of hours. He tries to save him and ultimately fails, which causes him to get haunted by that event throughout the movie. He also makes friends with a little boy near his base and at one point sees him dead, with the body filed up with bombs. He takes them all out and takes the body to his family. It is a pretty tense movie that has totally different dynamic of story developing. We get to see a soldier making decisions in the worst moments and having to deal with them as well. Acting crew was amazing in portraying their characters as good as they did.
