The appealing poster of the movie "The Inheritance" was what initially lured me to this movie. So based on the initial impression, I decided to give this film a go.
Now, the movie's story is interesting, and it is what really attracts to it, because the scares in the film are simply non-existent. The movie producers state it as a thriller, but it hardly managed that at all. There are some suspense moments in the movie, but that is as far as it gets, unfortunately.
The cast was actually quite good, both for the younger members and the elders. The entire film was carried by Keith David, though it wasn't his most impressive performance.
In my opinion this movie could have been more than it turned out to be, but sadly it failed to impress me. It will be a horror movie that came and went without leaving a lasting impression. If you like horror movies, there are definitely better options available. "The Inheritance" is just a weak experience, I guess.
