Charles Dickens was an accomplished British author known for many important works of writing. This movie is not only about him, but also about a girl called Ellen who was his mistress. Charles isn't satisfied with his wife, he finds her dull and unable to stimulate his intellect. Hi meets Ellen's mother who helps him out with Ellen, and two of them hit it off. Their relationship must be kept a secret, and Charles provides as much as he can to his mistress, not many girls during those times were able to have what Ellen has had. Ellen has a problem, she doesn't like Charles' emotional cruelty and his determination to keep her secret. Ellen is at a part of her life when she must make important decisions, she has to judge her role in life and determine whether the price of it all is right. Portrayal of Charles dickens is excellent, it is lovely to see how this man was successful during his time, he was a regular rock star of the era. Felicity Jones does an amazing job in acting Ella, which is no wonder due to the fact that she is a veteran of the UK movie and TV industry. Productions is flawless, after all this movie did receive an Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design. This is not a movie most of the Hollywood fans are used to, it is different and educational. The Invisible Woman is definitely a movie worth seeing.
