Whenever there is mention of one of the greatest French kings, Louis XIV, things that instantly come into mind are expensive dresses, luxury, feasts, royalty lifestyle. But, what follows this French king isn't just that. Based on the novel of Alexandre Dumas père, Randall Wallace did an outstanding film adaptation and directed the movie as well. The story is placed in the 1662, the year as young Louis XIV took the throne and became the King of France. His childish behaviour had more than one consequence. As he was spoiled and self-centred, his people were starving and his army led totally useless wars, while he lived in luxury. That caused lots of rebellion amongst the people. Also, since he was used to having everything he wants, and he got his eyes on another man's fiancé, he sent him to war, to first lines and he was killed. It turned out to be son of one of the Musketeers Athos. After getting informed that his son is dead, Athos was filled with anger and wanted revenge. But, murdering the King means that he will die as well. With another plan in mind, his friends, the Musketeers, decided to replace the king without anyone even knowing it. How? Well, it turned out that King has a twin brother, whom he had imprisoned a long time ago. Will he be able to get the hang of all things and replace the king without anyone noticing that?
