The Naughty Room is a good comedy made on a very tight budget, but it definitely manages to surprise and deliver. It feels a bit short, but the length of the movie is more than enough to tell the story which needs to be told. There are no moments which seem to be forcibly added and the movie never gets tiring. This movie explores alienation and the darker side of living in suburbia. Movie tells a tale of Subaru, a 20 year old man who, after the death of his father, spends his time smoking drugs and feeling sorry for himself. Subaru feels that life is to short and that there isn't anything to do with it. He refuses to find any kind of job and he doesn't want to help his mother out. Subaru also doesn't want to leave the home. Another star of the movie is Todd, a kid who has been imprisoned in the family bathroom ever since he was a child by his deranged mother who blames him for killing her husband. One day, Subaru and Todd are brought together and thus begins their journey of self discovery. The Naughty Room is an original movie and pretty charming, even if it is a bit odd at the moments. Those who don't mind the fact that the movie didn't need a lot of money to be made will definitely enjoy it and appreciate its weird, quirky comedy.
