Next Three Days is a drama romance with the crime elements that comes from the creative mind of Paul Haggis, who was the director of this film as well as the one of the writers. All begins on a peaceful morning when Lara Brennan (Elizabeth Banks) and her husband John (Russell Crowe) as they feed their little son Luke (Ty Simpkins). At one moment, the police officers barge in and arrest Lara under accusation that she had killed her boss. Although she had and argument with him, she didn't kill him. Still , the evidence they found at the crime scene all point at her. There are also the fingerprints on the murder weapon. Over the next couple of years, her husband John, tries everything in order to set her free, but the lack of the evidence that she didn't do it makes it worse. At one point, she tries to commit a suicide. That's when John starts planning on getting her out of that prison one way or another. And some of them aren't that legal. One of the guys that help him in getting the idea of how to get her out of there and make all arrangements is a prison escape expert (Liam Neeson). "You have to have the entire plan already in place. And you have to ask yourself, can you kill a guard, leave your kid at a gas station…cause to do this thing, that's what you have to become." That is the most important sentence in the whole movie.
