Movies about cowboys are always thrilling to watch. Especially those scenes that include their duels, the tension before they draw their guns- that all makes these movies special. The story of this one is place in a small western town called Redemption. It is run by John Herrod (Gene Hackman), who is an owner, leader and alpha and omega of this town. When suddenly, one day, an unknown female with a big hat and a fast hand on gun comes into town. She is named Ellen (Sharon Stone) and her reason for coming back is mysterious, at least for beginning of the movie. Herrod organises an annual quick draw contest with the intention to get rid of all of his enemies. As the contestants apply for the contest, the duels are held until there is one left. The winner gets all the money and the losers are only wounded. Amongst the this years contestants is this gorgeous unknown woman named Ellen, who is yet to reveal her reasons for entering the contest. With Sharon Stone in the main role, Leonardo DiCaprio as one of the side roles, Russell Crowe and Gene Hackman as well, this movie can be anything but boring and linear.
