Whenever weddings are to come, everyone seem to be searching for the partner to come to the wedding to. It's like they almost feel embarrassed if they come alone, without a girlfriend or a boyfriend. That is not the case with Kat Ellis (Debra Messing). Based on the book of Elizabeth Young, comes a hilarious comedy done by Dana Fox, which was directed by Clare Kilner. Kat doesn't mind going to her sister's wedding alone, but her sister and the rest of her family apparently does. So, she decides to hire a professional to be her escort on that wedding. She spends 6000 dollars in order to get a top male escort, Nick Mercer (Dermot Mulroney), who will pose as her new boyfriend. So, as two of them meet on a plane as they are headed to London, Kat is really nervous about everything. As they get to see her family, the questions start to pop: What does he do for living? How did you meet? How long have you been together? And all the regular questions. Slowly, their business deal starts taking another form. It all becomes a lot more intimate and lines between private and professional start to be blurry. Will they end up together in the end? Or will it simply stay as business?
