Third Contact is a sci-fi thriller directer by Simon Horrocks and starring Oliver Browne, Kristina Erdely and Cristiana Dell'Anna. It is a story about a man named Dr David Wright whose emotional torment prevents him from functioning as a therapist. The woman he loved vanished from his life forever, one of his regular patients commits suicide. Sister of the patient who had committed suicide, Erika, travels to London to sort out his things but discovers that his apartment is almost empty. Only a few items can be found in the apartment and one of them is a list of memories with four dated descriptions of moments in Rene's life. Another patient dies and another list of memories is found, it seems as if something strange is going on and that there might be something more behind these suicides. This movie was made on a shoe string budget but it puts many Hollywood movies to shame. Every part of the movie is made in a very creative way, sounds and music are top notch, camera angles are new and interesting making everything fit neatly. This is a dark movie, it is unpredictable yet fun to watch. It is a true gem of film making and every fan of good movies should check it out.
