If you loved "Urban Legends" or you still enjoy in watching this movie occasionally, then you'll find all the elements in "Toad Road" but brought up to the next level. Writer and director Jason Banker has made this horror thriller movie out of an urban legend that actually becomes clear in the end of the movie. The main characters are Sara and James, played by Sara Anne Jones and James Davidson. They are in their early 20-ies, love partying and drinking a lot, what causes them to be constantly hangover and throw up everywhere. They meet at one of those parties where all of them enjoy in extensive use of drugs- ecstasy, mushrooms, LSD with the inevitable presence of alcohol. As we get to know these two characters, we find that he's been trying to get his way out of that all, while she's only beginning to get to know that world and is eager to try more. In all of that suddenly comes up a story of an old urban legend of a so called "toad road" that leads through the woods. It's been said that this road has the same effect as a really bad acid trip, and that when one passes the 5th gate, one doesn't ever come back. And unfortunately, no one has come back to tell the story. So, wanting to fulfil her wish, he comes with her on "toad road".
