Based on book by Andrew Ross Sorkin, Peter Gould was the one to do an adaptation and make it into a fantastic screenplay for the movie. That movie was then directed by Curtis Hanson into a 99 minute long drama that tells the story about the time when all banks were bailed out. In the year 2008 economy in the United States survived a horrible collapse. Living the life of a Treasury secretary isn't easy. As a matter of fact, it's anything but easy. That's kind of life Henry Paulson (William Hurt) leads. As the world is struck by the economic crisis caused after lots of investment companies going bankrupt, Henry is the one of those that were trying to save the day. By his side were Federal reserve chairman Ben Bernanke (Paul Giamatti) and New York Fed President Tim Geithner (Billy Crudup). At one point, they all find themselves in a pretty tricky situation, where they have to make a decision whether to save the country or the banks. With high class actors in up the sleeve, director Curtis Hanson made sure to have the full effect of the portraying such important times in events from the near past. According to various critics, movie was done fairly good, the characters were portrayed nicely and true.
