Movie Trap For Cinderella has interesting background. Interesting thing is that Ian Softley directed movie with all female main characters. That adds nice balance to the story as ladies manage to fill small things forgotten by writers. This film is made in UK and that gives him nice flavour because it is psychological thriller. Story fallows young Mickey (Tuppence Middleton) that likes to party and go out. This cute party lowing girl gets caught in explosion in hers aunt mansion. Her wealthy aunt Elinor (Frances de la Tour) cares a lot and has her own ideas how should she live. With total amnesia Mickey is looking for lost memories. When she finds diaries of childhood friend Do (Alexandra Roach) flashbacks start to give her glimpses in past. Flashback after flashback starts to appear. She discovers that her friendship with Do was on the edge to become flaming lesbian relation. Flashbacks also reveal the happening that lead to the explosion. Cleverly hidden intentions will emerge as we approach to end of the movie. Betrayal, disappointment and innocence are dancing in thrilling rhythm. Main characters are female but amount of drama is not overcasting shadow on this thriller about dark crime. Hot scenes were Tuppence Middleton and Alexandra Roach are exchanging sensual touches and deep love, make time goes faster so 100min long movie doesn’t get boring at any time. Great acting and cleverly written story made Trap for Cinderella nice thriller with touch of drama.
