What is the movie Two Jacks about?
Director Bernard Rose has put a lot effort into adapting lots of Tolstoy novels and making them interesting on the screen. The lates of his movie adaptations is called "Two Jacks" and is based on a story about father and son, both very well known Hollywood directors. Danny Huston plays the role of once very famous and successful director Jack Hussar, who hopes to find a way and finance a new project he had been working on after he gets back to Los Angeles. he always loves finding himself in a spotlight on high class parties, drinking and ladies as well as dealing his business prepositions and making cleaver decisions when he needs to. And it isn't a coincidence that, some decades after that, his son, Jack Jr, played by Jack Huston, has the same aspirations, works in the same industry, has the same potentials. And as we all know the history always repeats itself. But this time, the only question is, will he be able to rise up to the glory of his father? Or even outdo it? Somehow he manages to find his way to his film making début. As the both Jacks have some of the personalities in common, as confidence and arrogance, but sympathy as well, they aren't flawless. The fans of Bernard Rose will be happy to know that this is yet another one of his great works, thanks to not only the story, but the amazing performances of the actors as well.
