What is the movie Under the Skin about?
The movie is set in Scotland where an alien takes the body of a very attractive young woman. She travels all over the country and from time to time gives a ride to various men. Her main goal is to lure her victims into sex; this way men become trapped in a kind of preserving liquid and eventually their organs are harvested. The alien in disguise is supervised by another alien, hiding in a body of a male motorcyclist. Laura attempts to seduce a man on the beach and witnesses a man and a woman drowning. She is not interested in those people and watches dispassionately as they die. She takes her victim’s body with her and leaves the couple’s toddler alone on the beach. Soon Laura discovers some changes in the way she perceives humans: she seduces a sexually inexperienced man but takes pity on him and lets him go eventually. Unfortunately he doesn’t get a chance to escape because he is tracked and killed by the motorcyclist. Laura is troubled by her encounter with the man with neurofibromatosis and undergoes an identity crisis. She starts to feel more conscious of her human body, becomes depressed and even catatonic. Soon she receives help from a man who takes her to his home.

I guess if measuring this movie with a scale from one to ten, i would give it a firm three, and mainly due to the fact that the main role in it was performed by Scarlett Johansson ( though have no idea ehy she agreed to perform in it, for me itt is pretty obvious that this movie is a black spot in her carrier). What can i say shit happens even to good actors from time to time, so it is important to be able to face it with a wide opened heart, as well as it is important to be able to forget about it as soon as it finished. Because if we keep thinking about something than it certainly happens again and again. Scarlett was gorgeous as usually! The movie has sucked, the plot of it sucked, the scenario writer is an idiot, and the person who invested money in this project is even more idiot than the scenario writer, this is my personal opinion and little modest warn for people who are up to waste their time while watching it.

I think this is one of the creepiest movies i have ever seen. Honestly speaking i started watching it only because of my boyfriend who really wanted to see it, as someone of his friends has advised him to, but i can easily say that ever since i started watching it i could not get rid of the feeling how gross is everying i see on the screen. To my great surprise, even my boyfriend after watching it for almost an hour started complaining about the movie, but we still watched it till the end as we thought we owe it to ouserlves after that much waste of time while trying to find some meaning in it. Well what can i say, as a conclusion, we didn't find any meaning in it. I cannot understand how Scarlett Johansson has agreed to perform in it considering the fact that she is famous enough in order to allow herself the right to choose whether the movie is worthy or not. Veeery disappointed.

A mere pretend to be mysterious, but turned out as monotonous.

The scenario has no sense and no core that intrigues as a sensory experience with an alien seductress as our guide but frustrates in the final analysis.

Writer/director Jonathan Glazer's art-house sci-fi allegory Under the Skin slips up on the viewer so surreptitiously that the pull of its final 30 minutes comes as a bit of a shock.
