Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is a movie that comes from the series of Underworld movies that deal with the fight between Vampires and Lycans- werewolf alike kind of species. This is a prequel of the whole story from the first part of the Underworld movie. It shows how Victor ruled the world before the war started. First of all, Vampires were the ones who made the whole species of Lycans, who were to serve them as slaves and servants, for their own needs. Lycans were not only used for that, but as well as their guards during the daylight. The audience gets to see a kind of a Romeo and Juliet story with a twist as a young Lycan called Lucian falls in love with Victors daughter, female Vampire called Sonia. They meet in secret, at secret places, and try to make a plan to run away from Victor and have a life together. But, as always, there are spies that betray them and Victors pet Lucian is no longer on the good list, but becomes one of the most wanted. He catches them both and punishes them in a very cruel manner. He burns his own daughter and chains him next to her, but far enough that he can't help her and is forced to watch her burn. From that moment on, it is pretty easy to see why this war started in the first place.
