How to Treat a Celebrity You're Dating

What is the movie Vanishing on 7th Street about?
"What if you woke up one morning and the world as you know it vanished?" This is the main question that is going though the entire plot of this movie. Written by Anthony Jaswinski and directed by Brad Anderson, this horror thriller with mystery elements will keep you glued to your seats and with the flash lights in your hands after it's done. The story is based on the assumption that there is darkness that consumes everything in Detroit, which causes people to disappear. Only few of them are left alive. Paul (John Leguizamo) is introduced at AMC movie theatre. Luke (Hayden Christensen) is found at his colleague's house, after he spend the night with her. Rosemary (Thandie Newton) is a nurse at the local clinic. They don't know each other at the beginning of the movie, but as the situation goes worse, they somehow manage to be at the same place at one point. While trying to stay alive and not disappear, as the rest of the population, they discover that light is what protects them. At the same time they start noticing that the period of daylight is getting shorter and shorter with each day they spend. The pre-recorded video tape tells them to stay into the light and not to trust anything but the light in their hands. Will they make it through? And what is the point of all of that?
