Coming from the mind of Ben C. Lucas, who did the writing and the directing of the movie as well, audience gets to see a pretty real life situation movie called Wasted on the Young. The main plot of the movie are two stepbrothers, Zack (Alex Russell) and Darren (Oliver Ackland). who are always competing against each other. Zack is the older one, and of course, more communicative, has more friends, always dominant amongst his friends and does all sorts of crazy stuff. He is also involved in drugs and lots of parties. Unlike him, his younger step brother Darren is shy and a bit withdrawn. He likes to keep his privacy and is a cute guy. They are both in the same house, same swim team and same high school. As always, Zack is swim team captain, is a favourite amongst friends. At one point, Darren gets his eyes on a cute girl from school called Xandrie (Adelaide Clemens). She gets invited at one of their parties, that Zack makes every time their parents aren't at home. During that party, Xandrie gets something slipped in her drink by some jealous girl and ends up assaulted and left on the beach by Zack and his friends. To find out what really went on, Darren first gets his hands on security camera tapes of that night.
