If you are looking for a nice heart warming and relaxing movie that is fit for the whole family, you've reached your goal. We bought a zoo is the perfect family movie with a hint of comedy and a bit of drama. Just enough to make everyone active and engaged throughout the two hours of its duration. Leading role is given to Matt Damon, who is playing Benjamin Mee, who is, from recently, a single dad. It all starts after his wife dies, which leaves him and his two kids- boy named Dylan (Colin Ford) and cute young girl Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones). After quitting his job and seeing his raging young boy getting kicked out of the school, Benjamin decides to buy a big comfy house, which is in the middle of the countryside, and they can afford it. There is only one catch- it's a zoo. He decides to take the risk and buys the house. Throughout the time, he learns with the help of the others how to manage a zoo and how to deal with animals as well. At one point, he meets Kelly the lead Zookeeper (Scarlett Johansson). Performance done by Matt Damon is amazing. His skills have brought real feel of how hard it is to be a single parent and how exhausting it can be to control your creative kids, but not to smother them with what is expected of them to be or do. This is a story of courage and taking chances- two most valuable lessons everyone should learn.
