For a movie crew that is yet inexperienced, and for a studio that does not have enough funds to make it as it should be, this was a bit too much to deal with. You can't say that idea was bad, or that the main plot was bad, but what actually is not done properly, is the way all of that is shown to the audience. There are many scenes where you can see that script was actually very bad presented, and written. When main actor got his wife killed, first he went to see his father and ask him for advice. That is simply not something what would most of the people do. Also, if they have decided to make movie that will have special effects, they should work on them as much as they can, but they should not promote the movie and compare it with something that has funds high as the sky. This movie has officially on this cover written "Sin City Meets The Spirit". Both of those are action movies, but what is main thing in them are special effects and plot that will keep the audience in place while they are looking at all of the money spent on those effects this movie is lacking.
