Since the beginning of the time, men and women had only one problem- understanding each other. The communication is totally different, their way of thinking is different and there is where the most of the problems are coming from. Nick Marshall (Mel Gibson) is one of the executives in the advertising company and he is pretty chauvinistic. When assigned to test out some women's products, Nick gets himself involved into a small accident. After that, he wasn't actually himself, so to speak. He starts hearing what women think, which seems like being in heaven at first. But as the time goes on, he realizes that that isn't such a great idea. He starts hearing all the bad things women he works with never tell him. Throughout the whole movie we get to see him how he deals with hearing women's thoughts as well as what does he do with the new information he has. We also get to see him and one of his female co-workers, Darcy McGuire, fall in love with each other, slowly and almost unnoticeable. But, important with her is that she got the promotion he wanted, and it all started as the try to bring her down and show that he can do the job better than her.
