Based on the title itself, you may think this is another simple movie about boys making mess in their teen years. In fact, this is a lot deeper than that. The story is set in 1975 in Brooklyn, where young Irish boys were born and raised. Main characters are two brothers- Brian Leary (Nick Thurston) and his older brother Danny (Geoff Wigdor). Being an older kid in the family, Danny starts very early to bring some real cash into their home. As it was suspected, he is into some small criminal activities. Along the way, his younger brother gets involved, as he gets older. But, at one point, Brian doesn't want that kind of life any more. He dreams of going to college and the other one just wants to get him back to the ground. We get to see them both develop as characters as well as their relationship as each of them goes for what they want in life. As Brian sees how his friend Todd, who accepted a college scholarship and got his dream come true, is treated, he hides his amazing artistic talent from anyone. In the basement of the bakery he paints and creates wonders. This 109 minute long drama is the right choice for the audience that needs to see character development and which tells real lie stories.
