What do you do when you see your kid not being able to get the things that they learn in school, and you get to see him/her failing every test? You help that kid with homework and learning and everything you can. But, what if that still happens? Then, you think it's not about the kid any more, but the problem is with teachers. In the middle of this story are two mothers- Jamie Fitzpatrick (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and Nona Alberts (Viola Davis). Since they are doing everything they can to help their kids and still it doesn't make the difference, they are up to do something that will change the game. Both of them are up for taking over the school and bringing back the real teaching into it. But, their fight starts with really lazy and phlegmatic parents, who think that is too complicated to be done, then with the school board, which includes convincing them that their school teachers aren't good enough, and eventually the teachers union, which, as you can imagine, won't be happy to hear all of this. Despite of everything they have waiting ahead, these two moms aren't backing down and they are going to get their ideas realized for the sake of their and all of other kids as well. So, if you feel like watching something that will boost up your moral, this is one of the movies you should consider.
