X-Men: The Last Stand is the third of the X-Men movies. It deals with the story that develops after the first sequel. The plot revolves around the same characters, but it carries on telling about what happened next. In the previous part, the X-Men managed to get their hands on William Stryker and stopped him, but also lost one of their own- Jean Grey. In this part, humans have discovered the "cure" for being a mutant. Some of the mutants are more than eager to get their hands on it and are willing to get whatever it takes in order to be normal and to fit into the society. But some of them consider this an act of war and want to draw blood because of that. And there is a group of mutants who only want to keep peace, the X-Men. As they try to keep everything in order, the chaos gets greater and greater. At one point, the whole group of X-Men sees Jean in front of them, alive and well. Except, that isn't Jean any more. The creature in front of them is called Phoenix and is more powerful than any of them, even the professor X. Then, the professor tells them a dark secret that involves the moment he and Magneto met her. As the story goes on, Magneto finds the way to get to what they call "the cure", which is another mutant who has the ability to suppress the mutation gene and make everyone "normal" again. The final battle between humans and mutants has begun and Magneto has Phoenix on his side.
