Jennifer Beals was born in 1963 in Chicago; she is the daughter of a local merchant and of secondary school teacher. Since she was a little girl, she was dreaming about stage, at first she appeared in the school performance after which was a role in the movie “Bodyguard”- which was filmed in 1980. After graduating the school she entered Yell University where she was learning classical literature. While being on the first course she got her first main role in the movie “Flash Dance” in 1983. Her most popular role was the role in “The Soup” performed in 1992, for which she got the main prize on the Sundance Film Festival and an award at Deauville Film Festival. In nineties Jennifer loved working in cinema and on the television, and one of other main roles, was the role of a lesbian Beth Porter in “Sex and The City” TV show. During her carrier she performed in such movies, as: “The Game”, “Flash Dance”, “and Vampire’s Kiss”, “Blood and Sand, Dear Diary”, “Four Rooms”, “After the Storm”, “Theory of a lie” and in many, many others.
