The drunk driving case against Amanda Bynes has been moved to the mental health court at the request of her attorney.
The Easy A actress, who is currently receiving treatment in a psychiatric hospital in Los Angeles after being placed under an involuntary hold on July 22, was supposed to appear in court on Tuesday for her DUI arrest in West Hollywood back in April, 2012. Amanda’s lawyer, Rich Hutton, told the judge Amanda did not have the mental capacity to understand the nature of the legal proceedings.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Edward Moreton referred the case to the court’s mental health division where a judge will decide if Bynes is fit for trial, the court said.
