Amanda Bynes’ psychiatric hold extended

amanda At the hearing held today, Amanda Bynes’ parents Rick and Lyn managed to convince the judge that it is best for their daughter to stay under psychiatric hold for another two weeks while they try and secure a conservatorship placing them in charge of Amanda’s legal and personal affairs.She was supposed to be released today (July 26, 2013) after being placed under a 72-hour hold on Monday (July 22) following her arrest for lighting a small fire on an elderly stranger’s driveway in Thousand Oaks, California.

Amanda’s parents are heading to the Ventura County Superior Courthouse in Oxnard for a private hearing, during which they need to prove Amanda is a danger to herself and to others.
