Christina Applegate has ”more manly” qualities than ‘Anchorman’ co-stars

Filming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues with funny guys like Will Ferrell, Steve Carell and Paul Rudd was tons of fun for Christina Applegate.

The actress, however, jokingly says that her co-stars are all ”softies” and insists she is ”more manly” than them.

”These guys are all softies. No machos on this set. I never felt that I was in need of a support group for women. I felt very comfortable with these guys on set. I probably have more manly qualities than most of those guys,” she said.

Christina also admits it was hard not to break into laughter while filming.

She said: ”It wasn’t easy not to laugh, I can tell you that. But at some point you have to remember that you are a professional, and that you need to keep it together. I think I ruined a lot of takes, maybe they’ll put those on the DVD, so people can experience how much fun we really had.”

Well, I need to tell that this is a very daring statement. I bet that all the male cast was very unhappy with such a statement. Christina Applegate is a strong woman, indeed, but present male actors are real softies; that makes them no men in my eyes as well then.
