As Deadline reports, Emilia Clarke has been cast as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genesis.
The Game of Thrones actress has scored the lead role in the sci-fi reboot, which will be directed by Alan Taylor and see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise his famous robot role.
Brie Larson also tried for the part but sources say that Emilia was the early favorite and impressed producers at Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures.
Paramount Pictures announced the reboot in June and revealed that it will be the first in a new stand-alone trilogy of Terminator movies. The film is set for release in July 2015.
I think Emilia Clark will cope with Sarah Connor role greatly. She is a brilliant and promising actress, so she will do her best. I am happy to hear that Arni is back to his favorite robot character role and that the new Terminator is seeing the screens on July 2015. Well, it is still much time till this date, but I am happy the date of the release is set already. It means I am looking forward to it with much anticipation!
