Jennifer Lawrence might join Chris Martin on tour
Hollywood’s eternal bachelor George Clooney has finally decided to settle down and the lucky lady is British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
Days after reports of the couple’s engagement started surfacing, Alamuddin’s law firm issued a statement congratulating her.
“The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married,” the firm said in a statement.
Robin Jackson, the firm’s CEO, also added: “She brings a bright light to everything she is involved in. And I am so delighted at her happy news.”
A representative for the couple is yet to address the news, but Clooney’s parents have already spoken out.
The actor’s father Nicholas Clooney told The News: “It’s true, and we’re thrilled. We think Amal is a wonderful girl, and it’s wonderful news. We think it will be a great marriage. This is their time, and they’ll have their own announcement to make, but suffice it to say, Nina and I are thrilled.”
George’s mother Nina added: “I am extremely happy about the engagement. Amal’s a lovely girl. We weren’t at all surprised when they told us they were engaged, and we couldn’t be happier for them.”
They’re great for each other- she massages and gives more respectability to, his leftist intellectual pretensions and he gives her A list celebrity and more networking opportunities than you can shake a stick at. Its a match made in heaven.
Rude comment by his mother about the former gf’s. To their credit, none did the kiss and tell to the tabloids on GC. He looks at this woman differently, he’s seems def impressed with her. She’s obviously smart but his former ex’s -dare I say- were more physically attractive
Tada! Well what can I say, I do believe that George Clooney is finally engaged (awe wow I guess it is already a huge achievement for him) but I don’t buy the fact that he and Amal would ever get married. It is not because I don’t want them to, or because I am one of those crazy fans who would better die or allow even thought that the object of their adoration is doing something like that, but because I am very practical by my nature and am able to see some obvious things, even if they were not really underlined or showed in public. I am glad for them, as they both look very happy. But my personal opinion is that if a man has never married before getting forty years old, than it is most likely that he will never go for it. And now considering the fact George is way over those forty years old, it is even clearer to me that he will not do it.
Awe wow, I am so, so happy that there does exist a woman in this world who is able and ready to capture George Clooney’s heart. He is definitely a tough cookie which is very difficult to get, but he of course is worthy of all the tries from the feminine side. He is a nice and carrying man, who was desperately looking for his love, I should admit that it is a fact that the better is your physical appearance the harder it is to find some special someone who would be able to see below that appearance, the person you really are. I am glad Amal Allamudin was able to bring him such a happiness of having a family of his own; I guess she is a very special woman. And hopefully they will never stay one of those couples that got engaged for many years ago but never went to the next step- the wedding itself.
Honestly speaking I am surprised, but of course I am surprised in a good way. I actually never thought that there does exist a woman in this world who would be able to steal the heart of Hollywood’s macho and one of the most wanted bachelors on the mother Earth- George Clooney. Wow, I am still shocked. Probably all that he ever wanted was a woman who is out of all the vicious things actresses, top models or singers are going throw. The secret to his heart was always so simple but no one could get it, he was just looking for a decent woman. I think if women knew about that earlier than he would probably already be married and had a bunch of kids. As there may decent women in the world who liked him, but never went for it, as his reputation was always a few steps ahead of him. Eventually they were afraid to stay left and broken hearted, but the good thing is that he really did found his one and only.
