Actress Halle Berry has a reason to celebrate after bill meant to deter paparazzi from getting too close to the children of celebrities was signed into law in California on Tuesday. Senate Bill 606, which protects children from paparazzi, was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown in Sacramento.
Halle has expressed her thanks to Governor Brown in a statement that reads: “I started this fight with a great deal of hope and a bit of uncertainty so I cannot express my immense gratitude that Governor Brown has recognized, and acted to remedy, the plight of children who are tormented because of the identity or prominence of their parents. On behalf of my children, it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end for those overly aggressive paparazzi whose outrageous conduct has caused so much trauma and emotional distress.”
The actress also thanked Jennifer Garner and Adele for joining her in the fight to protect their kids: “I am forever in awe of the support I got within my community from the enormously talented musician Adele to fellow actor Jennifer Garner who traveled with me to Sacramento to share her children’s stories, experience and her desire to give them a better life.”
We celebrate together with Halle. Paparazzi can get too annoying! This is very touch for celebrities and especially kids, who have a finer psychological organization. I am happy Adele and Jennifer Garner have linked to this movement and won the deal. Hurray! These paparazzi need to know this place and respect human rights.
