Halle Berry and her husband Olivier Martinez welcomed their first child together on Saturday.

The actress gave birth to a baby boy at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. A representative for Berry would not share any other details about the boy.

This is the second child for Halle. She has a 5-year-old daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.

Berry, 47, married Martinez, 47, in a private ceremony in France in July. The couple announced they were expecting a baby back in April as their rep said “We can confirm that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are expecting a child. We will not be commenting on or confirming any additional details.”

Berry and Martinez began their relationship last year after meeting on the set of the film Dark Tide. “This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth,” Berry told CNN when discussing her pregnancy in April. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

The 47-year-old actress has just signed on to star in a drama series coming to CBS next summer called Extant, a 13-episode thriller.
