Harlan Coben’s mystery novel Six years will get the movie adaptation and Hugh Jackman will play the role of Jake Fisher, the character the novel centers on. Paramount is behind the project. The story begins with Fisher watching Natalie, the love of his life, marry another man. For the next six years he is not able to forget her and he tortures himself thinking about her new life with Todd, her husband. One day Jake sees Todd’s obituary and decides to go to the funeral but there he finds that the widow is not Natalie and all his memories and everything he knew becomes a puzzle. He begins searching for the truth and things start to unravel. This breath-taking story deals with the mystery of past love and reveals the lies and secrets hidden for years. Coben’s novels are very popular with thriller/mystery fans but this is only his second one to hit the big screen. Paramount still hasn’t chosen the director or writer but the project has already got a lot of attention.

Jackman got a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in Les Miserables in 2012 and he is filming Prisoners at the moment. We will also see him in The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
