Nancy Motes, Julia Robert’s half-sister was died from a possible drug overdose, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said.
Nancy’s body was found in a bathtub full of water at a friend’s home on Sunday afternoon, where she had been dog-sitting.
LA County Coroner spokesman John Kades said prescription drugs had been found at the residence. Kades added that nothing has been ruled out, including an accidental drug overdose or a suicidal overdose. He said that indications of a suicide note had been found at the residence.
Lieutenant Larry Dietz, of the LA County coroner’s office, said a post-mortem examination had yet to be performed.
In a statement to People magazine, the Roberts family said: “It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes… confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug overdose. There is no official report from the Coroner’s office yet. The family is both shocked and devastated.”
Sad news! Condolences to the family and Juliya Roberst! Drugs are a very dreadful. Whether it was an overdose or suicide it is sad a woman left this world so foolishly at such a young age. People, stay away from drugs and find in life other reasons to live. Life is the best gift that cud lave been given to you as you could see the world and come on earth. Taking drugs is a crime for yourself, breaking your personality and ending your life fast. Besides, it is a great pain and loss to all relatives and friends.
