Keira Knightley wouldn’t let her kids act

In an interview with the July edition of Elle UK magazine, Keira Knightley opened up about the hardships of growing up in the public eye and said that if she had a daughter she wouldn’t let her pursue acting career.

“Oh, 100 percent, I’d absolutely tell her not to,” Knightley stated. “I would 150 million trillion percent be totally discouraging of her doing anything like that. Teenage years should be done privately.”

The actress believes that every teenager should experience certain things that are part of growing up.

“You should be going out and getting unbelievably drunk, getting into ridiculous situations, making mistakes,” she explained. “That’s what that time of life is about and we should do that privately, one million trillion zillion percent.”

keira-knightleyKeira landed her first major role in Star Wars: Episode I, when she was just 14. But even though she doesn’t want her kids to act at a young age, she doesn’t regret anything.

She said: “I don’t regret it, I wouldn’t do my life any differently, but having lived through it. There was a very long time when (interviewers) were all, ‘Well, you’re a s–t actress and you’re anorexic and people hate you’ which, for a teenager or somebody in their early 20s, is a very strange thing.”

I so, so much hate when the young actors are being ungrateful for the things and carrier they have in their life, I do not understand how a person can be such a bit** towards the public considering the fact that those are the people who made her not only famous but rich as well. If acting was so much destroying her life, than why was she doing that!? Eventually she could have say no to that if she wasn’t enjoying her life, it is easy to speak now, many years after when life is already set on a very good basis, but why wasn’t Keira shouting all those bad things about being an actress before?! I am sure that if asking Will Smith’s son whether he likes acting or not, he would say certainly yes, and that is because he appreciates everything he has!

I am sure it was a tough time for Keira Knightley, as usually people do not like other people who are different from them. Yes she was skinny all of her life, but that doesn’t mean anorexic, as it is a well-known fact that anorexic people do not live for years, they either get healthy, or they die, there is no possible way of living like that for years in the row like Keira does. And of course while being in the show business there always will be sneaky people around who won’t give you the chance to live and work normally, but that is their job, so it is better not showing any reaction upon that, this is life and if not being able to change certain situations, than it is better to change the attitude towards those situations.

Though, Keira Knightley knows a huge amount of numbers, I guess it is a very good thing, while talking bad about her profession is not a good thing at all. I am sure she had a lot of fun during acting as well, so I am wondering why she is not describing those fun times, but talks about bad stuff only! What is so good about getting drunk in high school or at college? What is so good about having hangover the next day and being ashamed for some things or words that you said previously to people but didn’t really mean them?! I guess those are the questions Keira should answer in the first place to herself!
