When she was in high school, Kerry Washingtonlooked up to Gwyneth Paltrow and even became a member of a nine-girl a capella group called Triple Trio.

Kerry wanted to become president of the group, just like Gwyneth.

She told Jimmy Kimmel: “When I was in junior high school I really wanted to be in Triple Trio because there was this really amazing senior, named Gwyneth Paltrow, who was president, so I really wanted to be president of Triple Trio one day – and then I was co-president of Triple Trio.

“We got hired a lot on Valentine’s Day to sing to people, and then we’d do the old standards… I actually hired the group to sing to my then-high school sweetheart, which he hated.”
