It was announced earlier this week that after months of searching Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam will take on the lead roles in the raunchy adaptation of E.L. James’ novel 50 Shades of Grey.

Dakota’s mother Melanie Griffith is thrilled her eldest child will portray Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of the erotic novel. Asked how she feels about Dakota, 23, scoring the coveted role, Melanie told gossip website TMZ.com: ”Are you kidding? Of course, I’m the proudest mom ever. I’m so excited for her.”

However, some fans are not happy with the casting, saying that Dakota and Charlie just don’t fit the description of the characters in the book.
