Demi Lovato feels body confident thanks to Kim Kardashian
Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Diana Douglas, Michael Douglas’ mother, has confirmed the news that her son’s marriage troubles with Catherine Zeta-Jones are finally over.
The couple announced they were separating last August, but it seems that their problems are now behind them.
Diana said: ”They are together. I knew they would work it out. They’re both gentle people, not hysterical. They’re always very affectionate and easy with each other. I figured the more everybody stayed out of it the better.”
Michael and Catherine went through a rough patch. He battled throat cancer while she spent some time in rehab due to bipolar disorder and depression it caused. All this certainly affected their marriage.
”I knew she was dealing with depression … It’s probably not an easy thing to understand if you don’t have it yourself. But he’s and understanding person,” Diana explained.
She also spoke about Michael’s battle with tongue cancer, revealing that the actor mostly dealt with his illness on his own. She said: ”He kept it very much to himself. He didn’t tell any of the family. It was a private thing. He gets depressed like everybody does at times. But he’s a very pragmatic person. He isn’t inclined to dwell on things.”
I am very happy the legendary couple is back together. They look perfect together and are definitely a great match as it looks, no matter they age difference. They have been living in a happy marriage for 14 years before they decided to split and I am very happy they managed to work their problems out and save their marriage. These are two loving hearts fighting for their happiness. This is very good news and I am very happy about it.
I highly respect the entire Douglas family, starting from its column Kirk Douglas, and finishing with his wonderful son Michael, it is very obvious the fact that men in this family are literally made of steel, and I am pretty sure that it is due to the not less stronger women who are standing behind their backs and are supporting them the most they can. I think that is exactly a perfect example of the relationship in a family, people should truly care about each other, and be there for each other in the good and bad times, just like the book says. Unfortunately nowadays it is a rare thing. I am happy that Michael has beaten the cancer, of course all the time he was sick Catherine stood by his side supporting him and acting like everything is ok, but will be fine soon. And now I realize that it was the only right thing she could do as a wife, and of course it affected her a lot, as she is a fragile woman by her nature, and all the stress was supposed to find a way out of her mind, that is why she needed a rehab, and a little time in order to set everything in her mind on the proper places.
Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas are one of those couples who are not able to leave anyone speechless regarding them, because they are simply awesome, and were made for each other. When they got married I was completely shocked, as Catherine was one of my favorite actresses, so eventually I wanted some better and younger man for her. So I will not be sneaky while telling that I gave blessing to their couple as soon as they got married, but I will be honest enough in order to say that Michael with his wonderful attitude towards Catherine has earn my blessing to their family a bit later, and he is still able to keep that one. And the other thing that completely amazes me, is how, how Catherine is able to keep her beauty for so many years, and not showing even a bit of rids and other evidences that would prove that she does get older as any other person in the world.
Awe Catherine Zeta Jones, you were so damn close to getting rid of your old husband and getting back your freedom, but on the last point you just gave up on that one, and decided to stay married with him, I wonder why. As well as I do wonder how can a woman stay and love a man who is twenty five years older than she is? I mean what interests they can possibly have together, if in some bad scenario he is old enough in order to be her father? It is so awkward, when gorgeous women like Catherine are doing something like this. I would understood some nerd girl who would tolerate it, or some not successful actress who would try to climb cinema Olympus through Michael Douglas, but Catherine is none of those listed. She is a goddess of beauty, and a real dedicated to her husband lady. They are married for almost fifteen years already. That does mean something, right?
I am happy for this amazing couple! I am glad that the partners managed to find common language and saved the marriage after their official spilt. They are an example of the great family and love to me!
