Actor Mike Myers will make a documentary about talent manager Shep Gordon. This will be Mike’s directorial debut and he is looking forward to it.
The Austin Powers star met the talent manager back in 1991 on the set of Wayne’s World and they have become very good friends. Mike finds Shep highly interesting character and has been trying to persuade him to let him make the film for ten years and finally managed.
Myers says, “I met Shep Gordon in 1991 on the set of Wayne’s World. I thought he was a perfect combination of Brian Epstein, Marshall MCLuhan and Mr. Magoo. I’ve been trying to get Shep to agree to let me make a movie about him for 10 years. Last year he finally said yes. I loved him like a brother before we started making this film, and now having sifted through his life and his legacy, I love him even more.”
Shep Gordon managed careers of many celebrities including Luther Vandross, Alice Cooper, Blondie and Raquel Welch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Myers’ film will feature interviews with Alice Cooper, Michael Douglas, Sylvester Stallone and Willie Nelson.
