Miley Cyrus expresses her ‘feminist energy’

miley-cyrus-2014 In an interview with OK! Magazine, Miley Cyrus talked about her ‘Bangerz’ tour and said that she wants people to feel her ”feminist energy” and see her as a good singer, not someone who likes to shock.

“I know people make it seem like all I do is come out and shock people. That isn’t what it is. I think what girls see is that there’s a feminist energy there,” she said.

“I’m more focused on people being excited about me as a singer rather than someone who shocks people. I want people to be like, ‘She did some things that were crazy, but at the end of the day it was all about her voice.’”

“If I get nervous I need to lock it down. I need to sit out, get my mind right and rest my voice … I want it to be something that’s worth going to see. I understand that my fans are young, they work hard to get the money to come to my show. My priority is giving them the best show I possibly can,” she added.

I respect Miley for her dedication to her shows and her great voice and she is indeed a very talented singer. Still, her new way to perform on the stage that even she calls shocking is something I would change about her. Still, then she wouldn’t really stand out and tabloids would forget about her. Nowadays Miley’s name is the one of the most talked about whether it is fame or infame, it I a great PR. If there were not good singing, I would have been disappointed.
