In an interview with the Cosmopolitan, Miley Cyrus says she lives life without regrets. Knowing that she can’t do anything to change the past, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer tries not to look back.
She also told the magazine that she has received some valuable advice about life choices from close friends and family.
”The best advice I’ve been given was from Cyndi Lauper – she told me to go lasso the moon, meaning don’t be afraid of anything. Just go and do anything you want to. I thought that was pretty cool and poetic,” Miley said.
”Dolly Parton’s my godmother. She’s taught me a lot about how you treat people. She always says ‘hi’ to the person on the bottom of the call sheet. I love that.”
However, the singer admits she doesn’t have many close friends. She is surrounded by those who she can trust and who understand her and other people are just acquaintances.
”I have a small group of five close friends who all pretty much work for me, everyone else is just an acquaintance. I have people around me I can relate to, people who get it and see what I’m doing,” she added.
Even though I am not for what Miley shows on the screen and her “Wrecking Ball” video, I support her position in life. People will always talk about you and have an opinion, so why just don’t do what you want to do? I also agree there cannot be many friends. Surround yourself with the best and close people and let others be the acquaintances. This is the best way to live and stay away of troubles by being betrayed or things the like. And always target at moon, even if you don’t get there, you will remain among stars!
