Despite the hopes and wishes of The O.C. fans Mischa Barton insists that it’s not the right time for a reunion with her cast mates from the hit show.
The actress became famous after landing a role in the teen drama where she played Marissa Cooper. The show was initially aired in the U.S. on 5 August 2003 and quickly became popular among teenagers. However, Mischa’s character was killed off in season three and the show was canceled in 2007.
As the ten-year anniversary of the show approached, fans clamored for a cast reunion, but Barton has shot down rumors of a get-together happening anytime soon.
She tells US Weekly, “You know – never say never, but, I think things have to feel right and it doesn’t feel right. You can’t say that you feel one way or another about things, but before The O.C. I was on track to do some great films, as well, and one thing happens and then I got this mega stardom all from this show. It is what it is, but I’m not looking to get sucked back into the limelight of it.”
