Seth Green explains why Ben Affleck shouldn’t play Batman

seth Joining the numerous critics of Ben Affleck’s upcoming role as Batman, Seth Green said that the Argo director wasn’t “scary” enough to play the superhero.

During an interview with Larry King, Green said: “You’ve got to remember that at the core of that character, Batman’s a crazy person. Batman has no powers. Batman is a rich, screwed-up kid whose parents were killed in front of him, who with his money and insanity decided to become a vigilante symbol to combat darkness.”

Seth claims that the role of Batman should be played by an older, bulkier actor.

“If this movie is meant to be the idealistic alien, humans-before-all-else Superman, and this is supposed to be the grizzled, weathered Batman who’s been living in Gotham, fighting crime himself for 10 years, you need a guy ben-affleck-batmanwho’s older. You need a guy who’s got more weight. And you need a guy that a Henry Cavill Superman is gonna be actually scared of,” he added.

King insisted that Ben Affleck should be praised for his acting skills, but Green replied, “Yes, but there is only so much you can act a role before people are or are not going to believe you in that role.”

Even though I like Ben Affleck and would be willing o see him playing Batman as he is a very hot man, who can be easily seen as superhero, I support Seth Green’s point of view. The character of Batman itself is a different one. So much time has passed and the actor performing Batman on screen should be bulkier and older and this is no way Ben Affleck. Ben is a great actor, he just need to portray other characters that suit his appearance and acting manner. It is indeed about believing or not believing the actor.
