Shailene Woodley thinks ‘Twilight’ sends girls a bad message

Divergent is another movie adaptation of a best-selling novel and just like Twilight and The Hunger Games it is predicted to be a huge box office success. Its star Shailene Woodley is well aware of the impact movies have on young people and while she asked The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence for advice on career matters, she doesn’t have much respect for Twilight franchise.

“I asked Jennifer Lawrence, ‘Are you happy with your choice to take on The Hunger Games?’ And she said she wouldn’t change it for the world,” Woodley revealed. “She told me, ‘There are some things-don’t make a love tape, don’t do drugs, don’t do things in public-that you wouldn’t want other people judging you for. But this is the best decision you’ll ever make.'”

However, Twilight is a completely different story.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Shailene explained, “Twilight, I’m sorry, is about a very unhealthy, toxic relationship. She falls in love with this guy and the second he leaves her, her life is over and she’s going to kill herself! What message are we sending to young people? That is not going to help this world evolve.”

Shailene Woodley has right to some extend. The message that is send to the young girls is far form being positive and doesn’t teach people anything positive, but on the other hand this is the story about love no matter what, no matter obstacles are and Bella chooses the new life after death for the sake of her love and baby that is. So, I believe the movie explanation is very relative. Buy the way, today is Einstein’s Birthday and the Day of Relativity.

Well I guess Shailene Woodley is being quite mean to the whole “Twilight” saga, she is perfectly aware that the “Divergent” will never be able to beat the saga, that is why she is trying to make it look worse at least with the words, but the truth is that we can find a good and bad message in each movie, word or sentence, it all depends on us, whether finding something good or bad. My opinion is that the statement about “Twilight” made her look funny in the eyes of public. As people love their Edward and Bella who taught them many good things, such as: true love is able to win anything, you need to fight for the things you love, family love and abounds and many, many others, as well as the aspect of friendship is very much opened.

Well Shailene Woodley, is quite young, and hasn’t seen that many in her life and that is probably why she thinks that she can say all of those bad things about other celebrities who have done a very great job while performing in the saga. Maybe she is being that mean because she doesn’t really like some particular character, or because she wanted to perform in that movie, but failed, women are very mean when they do not get something that they want. History has known many women of this kind unfortunately. I read in some article awhile ago that she tried herself on the audition for the Bella Cullen’s role but failed. I guess that explains a lot the reason of her anger for the entire movie, but people who had seen it at least once (I saw it probably a few hundreds of times already), will always defend this movie in front of the society.

Hmm, I just noticed that there are many similar features of the physical appearance between Shailene Woodley and Dakota Fanning, I am wondering is it a coincidence, or they were both meant for the same role. Well nevermind that is not the most concerning me matter in the world. I can’t wait to see the “Divergent” movie, and hopefully it will not let me down, as honestly speaking “Hunger Games” were a great disappointment, as far as for now none of the movies were able to touch my heart at least same as “Twilight” saga did. So this new movie better be good, otherwise later I will write down a new comment, which will be full of the star keys when I will say what I really thing about the new actresses who are being starlets but already quite a brats towards everyone else.
