Stars mourn James Gandolfini

james-gandolfini Hollywood is shocked by James Gandolfini’s sudden death. James was on holiday in Italy with his son when he suffered a heart attack on Wednesday (June 19). Many of his colleagues and friends have paid tribute to the late actor.

Russell Crowe posted on Twitter: ”Sad to hear about James Gandolfini. First met Jimmy back in ’94. He was roommates in NY with Lenny Loftin. Lovely man. RIP Jimmy.”

Michael J Fox wrote: ”Shocked and saddened by James Gandolfini’s passing. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.”

Rose McGowan tweeted a picture of her and James in front of a US flag, adding: ”I am heartbroken about James Gandolfini. He was a gentle giant and great man. I love this picture, I loved him.”

She added: ”He was a man of tremendous depth and sensitivity, with a kindness and generosity beyond words. I consider myself very lucky to have spent 10 years as his close colleague.”

Brad Pitt said: ”I admire Jimmy as a ferocious actor, a gentle soul and a genuinely funny man. I am fortunate to have sat across the table from him and am gutted by this loss. I wish his family strength and some semblance of peace.”
