Making movies may seem all glamorous and fun, but for actors it’s a job and just like you don’t like every single person in your workplace, some stars simply don’t get along on set. Disputes and arguments often happen, but some feuds between co-stars were so serious that they now refuse to work together. Keep on reading and find out which celebs we won’t see in a same movie ever again.
Bill Murray and Lucy Liu
Bill Murray starred in the first Charlie’s Angels movie, but didn’t reprise his role as Bosley in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. The reason is his off-screen feud with Lucy Liu. Reportedly, Murray stopped a scene with Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu pointing at each one in order stating “I get why you’re here, and you’ve got talent, but what in the hell are you doing here! You can’t act!” Liu reportedly tried to attack him as the two screamed at each other, and Murray refused to come back for the sequel.
Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano
Shannen Doherty has a reputation for being difficult to work with and Alyssa Milano refuses to work with her ever again. Doherty was fired from Charmed and it is assumed that is has to do with not being able to get along with her co-stars. Milano has compared the set to the drama you’d see in high school.
Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts
Their feud began back in 1994, on the set of their romantic comedy, I Love Trouble. The two had a dreadful time working together, even going so far as having to shoot their scenes separately. The quarrel apparently continued long after the movie wrapped up, with Julia Roberts describing Nick Nolte as “completely disgusting” and Nolte responding with, “she’s not a nice person, everyone knows that.”
Kevin Smith and Bruce Willis
Director Kevin Smith worked with Bruce Willis on the film Cop Out and, according to him, the experience was “soul crushing.” When Smith toasted the movie, he said, “I want to thank everyone who worked on the film, except for Bruce Willis, who is a f**king d**k.”
James Franco and Tyrese Gibson
James Franco and Tyrese Gibson had their falling out in 2006, while filming Annapolis. Reportedly, Franco was rude on set and full-on hitting Tyrese when practicing boxing scenes. Franco’s defense is that he is a method actor, meaning he is in character constantly. Gibson is quoted as stating “I never want to work with him again, and I’m sure he feels the same way.” Franco has since tried to make amends and apologize for his actions while on set, but it doesn’t seem like these two will make up any time soon.
William Baldwin and Sharon Stone
When William Baldwin and Sharon Stone co-starred in the movie Sliver together, and while their on-screen chemistry was poor, things were even worse off-screen. They simply couldn’t stand each other. It’s said that during one scene Stone bit Baldwin’s tongue with such force that he couldn’t talk properly for a couple of days. The two never went on to do another movie together and probably never will.
Lindsay Lohan and America Ferrera
Lindsay Lohan guest starred on America Ferrera’s show Ugly Betty and tension erupted between the two actresses. Lindsay would show up with a huge entourage and smoked all the time on set. However, people from Lohan’s camp say that Ferrera was mean to her. The rumors are unclear on who started the feud, but it eventually got so bad that Lohan’s original six-episode guest star was cut to four.
Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard
When asked why he didn’t return for the last two films in the Iron Man trilogy, Terrence Howard had a lot to say. Howard, who played Lt. Col. James Rhodes in the first Iron Man film, said: “It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man… when it was time to re-up for the second one, took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out.” Howard continued to explain that Downey stole his money as Howard was supposed to be in all three of the Iron Man movies when the movie deal was initiated in the very beginning.
Pierce Brosnan and Teri Hatcher
It had been rumored for some time that Pierce Brosnan and Teri Hatcher couldn’t stand each other on the set of Tomorrow Never Dies, and in 2005 Brosnan confirmed the story. In an interview with the Daily Mirror, he said: “I must admit I let slip a few words which weren’t very nice. I got very upset with her – she was always keeping me waiting for hours.”
Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin
When two actors who are known to be difficult to work with are paired up on a Broadway play, there has to be tension. SHia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin worked together on Orphans, but could not get along. LaBeouf attacked Baldwin because he was frustrated that Baldwin was slowing him down. LaBeouf was subsequently fired and replaced with Ben Foster.
Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx
Even though the story has never been confirmed by the two stars, the word is that Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx had a huge falling out while filming Miami Vice. The story goes that Foxx was the higher paid actor, then won his Oscar for Ray, and he was aware that his star was rising. This, in turn, was said to ‘influence his behavior’, which Farrell didn’t really appreciate. Furthermore, one story suggests that Foxx also refused in the end to travel outside of America, which changed what the director wanted to do with the final act of the film.
Sylvester Stallone and Richard Gere
The feud between these two stars began when Richard Gere and Sylvester Stallone were cast alongside one another in The Lords of Flatbush. Apparently they couldn’t stand each other to the point of fistfights on set. Stallone claims Gere purposely spilled chicken grease on him. Further, the two actors couldn’t get their chemistry to work, and it was Stallone who reportedly went and got Gere replaced from The Lords of Flatbush.
Well honestly speaking for me it is a total shock to read about the fights between Shannon Doherty and Alyssa Milano, but I do believe that if they were fighting it was not Alyssa’s fault at all. She is very nice and kind, and it is a fact. I have seen her in many movies, and in all of them she appears having completely same character, which is a very good point which makes me thinking that probably she is completely same in her real life as well. So of course if a person is being “white and fluffy” pretty much all the time you wouldn’t expect this person to jump on another one and make some conflict situations. Now I get it, now I perfectly realize while Prudence Halliwell has disappeared so suddenly from the show, while at that point I kept thinking that she simply got some better offer to perform in and that is why she left the show. I remember how bad I felt for the fact that she has left the show, and I realize that I was not the only person who felt this way, which means that for the producers of the show it was really hard to let her go as well, but probably her character is really an awful one which has made their decision much easier.
Hmm in the conflict between Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts, I vote for Julia, as I have never read any kind of article that would state she has some bad or mean character. Yes I have read a bunch of this kind of articles about Jennifer Lopez, or Madonna, or the top model Naomi Campbell, but I have never read anything like that about Julia Roberts, and I am sure it is due to the fact that she is a real sweetheart. Same as she is in all of her movies. I am sure that if she would be such a bi**h as Nick is describing than probably she wouldn’t be so popular between the movie producers. And from the other side, who has heard anything new about Nick Nolte for the past five-ten years? I guess no one, and considering the fact that he is a good actor, I get to the logical conclusion that he is not getting any new roles not because he suffers from lack of professional skills, but probably because of the bad behavior or character.
The article that really has surprised me is the one about Pierce Brosnan and Teri Hatcher. I mean how come? She is such a nice person, I read a bunch of articles about her, she has suffered a huge moral trauma in her childhood, and she was not afraid to confess it in front of public, even if it resulted in losing the man she loved because of it (he simply couldn’t live with the idea), and who is helping thousands of people who went through same things, as well as she is also an active participant in a variety of other charity events. So knowing all of those things about her makes me raise an eyebrow while reading it, and realize that or it is completely Pierce’s fault, or the entire world went crazy. Hopefully one day they will become wise enough in order to forgive each other and to go on living happily without the burden of conflict situation in their hearts.
