Not many people can say that they went to high school with a celebrity. So, what are the odds of having two or more famous faces in the same school? As weird as it may sound, some celebs did actually go to school together. Keep reading to find out who they are.
Jennifer Aniston and Chaz Bono
Back when she was attending New York City’s High School of Performing Arts, Jennifer Aniston was best girl friends with Cher’s daughter, Chastity Bono. They drifted apart over the years and then Chastity became Chaz. “Every day a group of us would go to Chaz’s house after school,” Aniston told Allure magazine. “I haven’t spoken to him in a while.”
Kevin Spacey, Val Kilmer and Mare Winningham
These three attended Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles. Spacey graduated as valedictorian and in his senior year starred in a production of The Sound of Music. He played the part of Captain Georg von Trapp, while Mare Winningham (she was in Turner and Hooch) played Maria. Off-stage Val Kilmer dated Winningham throughout high school.
Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg
Though they may seem like an unlikely pair, Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. “We went to high school together,” Diaz told George Lopez in 2008. “He was a year older than me… I remember him, he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails.” Cam claims that she even bought weed from Snoop back in high school.
Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts
Actresses Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts both attended North Sydney Girls’ High School in Sydney, Australia. The Aussies have remained pals ever since. “Naomi Watts and I are very, very good friends and have maintained that through so many things,” Kidman told the Telegraph newspaper. “I think that’s really rare, particularly for actresses, and I take a lot of pride in that.”
Lauryn Hill and Zach Braff
They went to Columbia High School, Maplewood, NJ. According to Zach, “Lauryn Hill did go to my bar mitzvah. There was a game called Coke and Pepsi. You’d have a partner, and one person was Coke and the other Pepsi. Depending on what the DJ would yell, you had to run and get on that person’s lap. And Lauryn was my Coke and Pepsi partner.”
Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur
Jada and Tupac were legit friends when they went to the Baltimore School for the Arts in Baltimore, Maryland. Jada has described their relationship as a ‘platonic romance’ and claims that they never had sexy times.
Josh Hartnett and Rachel Leigh Cook
“I remember thinking he was really cute,” Rachael Leigh Cook told People about Josh Hartnett, who was two years ahead of her at Minneapolis South High School. In 2001, the former high school classmates played love interests in Blow Dry.
Ed Helms and Brian Baumgartner
Ed Helms and Brian Baumgartner both attended Westminster High School in Atlanta in the early 1990s. Baumgartner graduated one year ahead of Helms.
John Cusack and Jeremy Piven
They lived across the street from each other and studied acting at the Piven Theater Workshop, which was owned by Piven’s parents. They both attended Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Illinois in the mid-1980s. The duo went on to act together in several films before parting ways.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
Now this is one strong friendship! They write together, they act together, so it really comes as no surprise that they went to high school together. Damon and Affleck attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School at the same time.
Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey Jr.
In addition to these two, Sean Penn and Rob Lowe were also at Santa Monica High School during the 80s. Sheen was also the pitcher for the school’s baseball team. However, he did not finish the season or high school because he was expelled a few weeks before graduation.
This is an interesting article! I find it so cool to find out some celebs were studying together. Cameron even confessed of buy weed by Snoop Dog. LMAO. Heheheh! These people had same lives as we did coming through school years not even knowing what heights they would achieve later on. Thanks for the article! I give it an “A”.
